      <hc_freetext>Labor pain.</hc_freetext>
<i_freetext>Intervention 1: Intervention group 1- Hegu acupressure: The subjects of Hegu group were asked to sit in their favorable position and the researcher sat in front of them. As the women notified to have pain, the researcher applied pressure to the Hegu point of the right hand by her right thumb. To prevent any discomfort, the pressure was applied deeply and up and down around the Hegu point until nail bed color of the researcher changed. Applying pressure was stopped by the end of each contraction and was started again by the beginning of another contraction. The interventions were applied at the cervical dilatations of 4-5 cm, 6-7 cm and 8-10 cm during six uterus contractions. Intervention 2: Intervention group 2-Ciliao acupressure:The women of the Ciliao group were asked to sit in their favorable position and the researcher sat behind them in a way to have access to sacral region. As the women notified to have pain, the researcher applied pressure deeply and in a rotational manner to bilateral Ciliao points simultaneously until the color of the examiner nail bed changed. Applying pressure was stopped by the end of each contraction and was started again by the beginning of another contraction. The interventions were applied at the cervical dilatations of 4-5 cm, 6-7 cm and 8-10 cm during six uterus contractions. Intervention 3: Control group: Tthe researcher attended the bedside of the subjects and performed all the routine activities done for the other two groups except applying acupressure. The researcher communicated with parturient women verbally like other two groups.</i_freetext>
