Tabriz Iran (Islamic Republic of) +98 41 3335 9680 milad.ghanizadeh@gmail.com Tabriz University of Medical Sciences Iran (Islamic Republic of) Inclusion criteria: All patients who are going to have maxillofacial surgery and nasotracheal intubation; age from 20 to 60 years Exclusion criteria: contraindications of nasotracheal intubation; nasal polyps; Chronic sinusitis; upper airway infections; allergy to mupirocin; pregnancy and lactation. 20 years 60 years Both J60-J70 Lung diseases due to external agents Prevention N/A 8 hours before and during nasoracheal intubation, nasal ointment of 2 % mupirocin will apply. In the control group, this ointment not be used. Endotracheal nasal tube bacterial load. Timepoint: after surgery. Method of measurement: Microbial culture. Nasal congestion.
