Condition 2: periodontitis. Intervention 1: Intervention group: Periodontal pocket reduction therapy by first non surgical and then surgical therapy (different types of flap surgery) after about a month+ 500mg Amoxicillin and 250mg Metronidazole three times a day for two weeks. Intervention 2: Control group: 500mg Amoxicillin and 250mg Metronidazole three times a day for two weeks.

Yazd Iran (Islamic Republic of) +98 35 1621 4257 ahmad.haerian@gmail.com Shahid Sadoughi Yazd university of Medical Sciences Iran (Islamic Republic of) Patients older than 20 years who are referred to the department of Gastroenterology of Shahid Sadoughi hospital for dyspeptic symptoms, periodontal disease is diagnosed in them and the presence of Helicobacter Pylori is confirmed in gastrointestinal tract and sub gingival plaque sample. Exclusion criteria includes: 1- Taking local or systemic antimicrobial agents, Proton Pump Inhibitors, H2-blockers and Bismuth from one month before the study. 2- History of upper gastrointestinal tract bleeding or abdominal cancer. 3- Presence of systemic conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus. 4- Smoking. 5- Undergoing periodontal treatment in the past 6 months. 6- Pregnancy. 7- Being older than 60 years. 20 years 60 years Both K30 K05.3 Indigestion Chronic periodontitis Treatment - Surgery Treatment - Drugs Intervention group: Periodontal pocket reduction therapy by first non surgical and then surgical therapy (different types of flap surgery) after about a month+ 500mg Amoxicillin and 250mg Metronidazole three times a day for two weeks Control group: 500mg Amoxicillin and 250mg Metronidazole three times a day for two weeks Recurrence of Dyspepsia emanating from Helicobacter Pylori.
