N/A Condition 1: Borderline personality disorder. Condition 2: Depression. Intervention 1: Intervention group: drug treatment + emotional intelligence components including: interpersonal knowledge, problem solving skills, interpersonal knowledge, stress coping strategies and adjustment will be trained in 15 days, a 70-minute session every other day. Intervention 2: Control group: will receive only drug treatment.

Hamadan Iran (Islamic Republic of) 65168-4-8741 +98 81 1828 5012 haghighi@umsha.ac.ir Research Center for Behavioral Disorders and Substance Abuse, Hamadan University of Medical Sciences Iran (Islamic Republic of) Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of borderline personality disorder comorbid with depression by psychiatrist according to DSM-IV-TR, no other psychiatric disorder, diagnosis of borderline personality disorder based on MCMI-III and at least 84 score in borderline personality disorder scale, age between 18 to 35, no past history of hospitalization or medication, an education level at least grade tree in guide school Exclusion criteria: no consent to training, discharge from hospital by individual consent before completion of training 18 years 35 years Both F60.3 F32 Emotionally unstable personality disorder Depressive episode Behavior Behavior Intervention group: drug treatment + emotional intelligence components including: interpersonal knowledge, problem solving skills, interpersonal knowledge, stress coping strategies and adjustment will be trained in 15 days, a 70-minute session every other day.
