N/A Intimate Partner Violence. Intervention 1: Therapy in intervention group was 12 hour individual dialectic behavioral therapy. Skills that are taught include: 1- mindfulness, 2- interpersonal effectiveness, 3- emotion regulation and 4- distress tolerance. Modes of therapy include: 1- individual therapy, 2- skills training in groups, 3- telephone contact, and 4- consultation. Techniques include: 1- contingency management, 2- cognitive therapy, 3- exposure based therapies, and 4- pharmacotherapy. Intervention 2: Therapy in comparison group was cognitive therapy. in cognitive therapy focus is on omission of negative thoughts and cognitive distortions ,these distortions are: 1-arbitrary inferences 2- selective separation 3- overgeneralization 4- minimizing and magnifying 5- personalization 6- labelling 7- polarized thinking.skill training in both groups was in group form.
